Cirrus SR20 G3 (Generation 3)

The Cirrus SR20 G3, introduced in 2007, was a major step forward in the evolution of Cirrus’ entry-level aircraft. Designed for flight training, personal flying, and business travel, the G3 incorporated significant upgrades to its aerodynamics, handling, and structural integrity. The aircraft retained Cirrus’ signature composite airframe and the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS), but with enhancements that improved its performance, efficiency, and overall flying experience.

Key Features:

Enhanced Wing Design: Lighter, larger wing with a carbon-fiber spar, increasing cruise speed by approximately 6-7 knots.

Increased Useful Load: Maximum takeoff weight raised to 3,050 lbs (1,383 kg), allowing for an additional 50 lbs (23 kg) of payload.

Redesigned Landing Gear: Main landing gear was made 2 inches (5 cm) taller, providing greater propeller and tail clearance.

Improved Handling: Increased wing dihedral enhanced aircraft handling characteristics.

Aerodynamic Enhancements: New wing root fairings and LED recognition lights improved aerodynamics and visibility.

Upgraded Avionics: Equipped with dual-redundant WAAS-certified Garmin GNS 430W GPS/Comm/Nav radios and an S-Tec autopilot.

The Piper Pilot 100i is a cost-effective, modern training aircraft designed to meet the evolving needs of flight schools and aspiring pilots.
